ss400 is a way of marking Japanese steel materials and is a judgment standard, equivalent to the domestic Q235 steel (also known as A3 steel). Foreign standard structural steel is often classified by tensile strength, such as SS400 (Japan is so marked), of which 400 means that the minimum value of σb is 400MPa Ultra-high strength steel refers to σb≥1373 Mpa steel. SS490 is a structural hot rolled steel defined by JIS G 3101 standard. It is commonly utilized for diverse structural applications. SS490 has superior tensile strength compared to SS400 steel. It is employed in thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 120 mm. Its chemical makeup includes a maximum of 0.050 percent of both Phosphorous and Sulphur, with iron and minor impurities.
