16MO3 steel plates are high-quality chromium-molybdenum alloy steel plates commonly used for pressure vessels in elevated temperature service. They have excellent corrosion and heat resistance, as well as good weldability and formability. The alloy is composed of 15% Cr (Chromium) and 8% Mo (Molybdenum), providing improved strength at higher temperatures due to the formation of a stable oxide film which prevents further oxidation.

They can operate under temperatures up to 600°C with peak stresses exceeding 220MPa in gas turbines, power plants, petrochemical plants, refinery installations, etc. They offer outstanding properties such as warmth tolerance, high thermal conductivity, low electrical resistivity and great toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. These plates exhibit excellent corrosion resistance against chemicals like hydrochloric acid at ambient temperature, making them useful for many industrial applications.
